We've made a Discord channel for you to use to meet & talk with each other before the school starts. Join here.
LOCATIONS/MAPS
The podcast school will take place on Simon Fraser University's Burnaby campus. You will spend the majority of your time in Shrum Science Centre Kinesiology (SCK) in rooms K-7651 and K-8660 as well as the Media and Makers Commons in the library. Below is a map of campus you can use to navigate. Additionally, SFU has an app that can be incredibly helpful to navigate around campus if you'd like to download it for the week you're here: SFU Snap Room Locator.
We have made an annotated Google Map for your use during the week. You'll see that there are different categories with important points marked. This is not exhaustive, but meant to assist you in locating important places, and assistance accessing other needs.
If you would like to travel into Vancouver during the week, there are 2 bus stop locations on Burnaby Mountain (notated in the Google Map). To get all the way to SFU's Downtown campus, the R5 can be taken the entire way. Along the R5 route, you will pass through East Van and Gastown where there are lovely restaurants and bars to explore.
Ride Sharing such as Uber and Lyft are also available to Burnaby Mountain.
